Sure you can, in Buddhism, all gods of every religion reside in Heaven. So Jesus is there too. Your God will take care of you but Buddha will bless you as long as you ask for his protection. Buddhism's principle is to help you to have a better life, not to convert you. As long as you can live in harmony with everyone; as long as you believe that you are the only one who can redeem your sin, you are believer of Buddhism. You can always take Buddha's advises but keep your belief since Buddha's mercy is vast - Buddha only want that you and people can avoid from committing sin.

The philosophies of christianity and Buddhism are absolutely contradictory.
Buddhism says there is no sin, especially no Original Sin, just mistakes and errors.
The Bible says that we are all sinners: Romans 3:23
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Buddhism says deny yourselfish desires in order to eleminate the selfish desires, and thus eleminate your pain and sorrow.
The Bible says to repent and believe:
Mark 1:15
and saying, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel."
Buddhism denies the existance of a Supreme Being, there is just Karma and reincarnation.
The Bible says:
Genesis 1:1
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
John 1:1-4
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 He was in the beginning with God.
3 All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being.
4 In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men.
Matthew 4:19
And He said* to them, "Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men."
John 20:30-31
30 Therefore many other signs Jesus also performed in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book;
31 but these have been written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you may have life in His name.
So, no. Your basic idea is incorrect.
You do not need to follw Buddhism, just follow Jesus.

There is only ONE God and ONE Truth. Buddhism says that Buddha is the way to heaven. Jesus Christ says that he is THE way, truth and the life. You cannot serve two masters. Either the way of Christ, or the ways of two or more things mixed in together. That includes all other religions, or cafeteria made religions by mixing aspects of them.

There are possible overlapping ideologies that could be congruent but to embrace Christianity and Buddhism at the same time is not possible.
Master PO and Master Kahn or Lord Jesus...you must choose grasshopper.

Buddhism is similar to Christianity only in very superficial ways.Buddhists do not have God. And in Christianity Jesus is the way. So they are very contradicting beliefs. : )

The philosophy of the Buddah is not compatible with Christianity. While peaceful to the point of being pacifist, the Buddah's teachings are based on Hindu pantheism and the transmigration of souls. These two basic concepts are in opposition to the Christian doctrine.
One cannot be both a Christian and a Buddhist. There is either one God, or 3,000. Either there is a judgement day after we die, or there are a million second chances. Both situations cannot co-exist.

the only differences in the two faiths is the terminology and dogma. The essence (the important part) is the same.
Christians say repent - Buddhists say release
Christians say forgive - Buddhists say let go
Christ says he is One with God - Buddha says he is One with everything (ie God)
The only way to God/Enlightenement is through me. ie: Oneness with the Allness of being!
Christ didn't mean that we had to find his actual body and walk through it somehow...so when Christ says that the only way to God is through Me, he's not talking about himself in terms of a body...he's talking in terms of an essence...and Buddhism teaches about that same Divine essence.
...also, there are numerous incredible spiritual teachers who practiced both.
Christ certainly wouldn't be disappointed in anyone for seeing Him everywhere. If Buddhism enriches your Christianity, then by all means, explore Buddhism.

Buddhism is older and has caused less strife and turmoil in the world over its lifetime than Christianity has in a year. Who do you think is more divinely oriented?
