anything smooth/fruity. some ideas:
- prosecco white italian wine (sweet, grape flavoured)
- hard cider (nice smooth alcoholic apple drink)
- Valpolicella or Dolcetto (smooth italian wines)
- amaretto (nice almond tasting italian liqueur)
- margarita (tequila based, but mixed with juices)
- limoncello (another smooth liqueur)

they have a nice fruity taste unlike most beers, and they don't taste bitter like hard liquors, but still have a reasonable alcohol content. (the wines are around 8-14%, where as beer can be between 2-8%).

this should work for your 21st bday. hope this helps!

MIke's hard lemonade, wine coolers. My favorite shot is Crown Royal and buttershots. Cheap tequilas are not very good, maybe try a top shelf like Patron Silver. Long island iced teas do not taste like alcohol if they are made right. But watch out, they will get you really drunk , fast. Try www.webtender.com to browse for drinks that you think you might like.

Now is the time to bring back the "wine spritzer"! Use whatever white or Rose' and add sparkling water and a twist of lemon. You will appear sophisticated and will also enjoy the beverage!
Happy Birthday!!! Don't feel pressure to drink just 'cuz you're legal. I am a private chef and often mix non-alcoholic cocktails for clients. A nice one is to take a champagne flute, pour in about two ounces of pomegranate juice (Pommi), top it off with sparkling water or gingerale, and add a twist. Hope you have fun!

Try a glass of wine or a flavored malt beverage, but if you do not like the taste of alcohol then don't drink it just because your turning 21. Most alcoholic beverages are an acquired taste over time and if you choose not to acquire the taste then good for you.

The people that say ice cream may be on to something. Try a grasshopper. It has ice cream and creme de menth and something else but it tastes just like mint ice cream.

If you don't like tequila, you might be wrong. Jose Cuervo is bad. It's more expensive buy try the Patron. It is much more smooth. I refuse to drink Cuervo but I enjoy the Patron a lot.

3. Gin & Tonic
4. Pina colada
5. Harvey's Bristol Cream

Hypnotique is a drink that tastes really fruity (it's blue) and gets you pretty rocked. It's some type of a mixed drink and goes down really easy. A little goes a long way, it's good on the rocks.

You could always try liqueurs and use them to make mixed drinks. They're not as strong as regular liquor, and you can simply increase the amount of mixer if you don't want it too strong.

Kahlua and vanilla ice cream is good too.

It's interesting that you classify tequila separately from "strong alcohol". Perhaps you should accept that you're not a drinker and stay sober.
