He is against the war, but he was so moved by this story that he felt compelled to help. What makes this so weird is that she hasn't actually even left for Iraq yet - and he was moved enough to track her down himself. I don't agree with his political stance on the war, but when he puts up a yellow ribbon that he supports the troops - he, at least,
isn't just whistling Dixie. Kudos Mr. Baldwin!

Maybe he's had a change of heart. I always think people can change for the better.

Perhaps he feels bad for how he's treated the troops in the past and wants to make up for it.

Then again, it could just be a publicity stunt to help sales of his latest movie.

I won't do websites since my last virus. I am against the war & Bush, but I am sending letters & packages to Afganistan. I've been talking to a woman on-line in the air force who is around my daughter's age. The last pkg I sent included an Easter egg hunt & prizes. Can the people who are FOR the war say that they are doing the same?

Isn't he a member of F.A.G. ?

Don't you know a Press face when you see one ? Him and Sean Penn both have had trouble with their images and will do almost anything to clean up their images at this point, just another Jane Fonda moment.
He's still a commie trader,

I still don't think you can support the troops but not the war...although I guess this would count.

All these celebrities who speak out against the war make me sick, but this is an honorable thing to do.
