Alero was modelled after the Malibu. So, most common problems are front hubs(wheel bearings) & front brake pads, among other things.

Vehicle will not start at time....security light comes on, vehicle will not crank..2nd intake gasket leaking...3rd electric windows inop. If you would like to know more..just type in alero problems on your search and see for yourself...
