All organized religion is evil and leads to hatred and war, and thus should be banned in a civilized society.

I would love to rid the world of all the irrational belief, primitive delusion, and superstitious nonsense of which organized religion is the best example. Religion is the enemy of humanity because it is a system of control whereby a few loud-mouth demagogues establish and/or maintain a hierarchal system that seeks to limit not only how people behave, but even how they think. Religion is nothing less than slavery.
Religion, at present, is the worst enemy against humanity's survival because it would have us on our hands and knees waiting for a superman to save us rather than thinking rationally about what we need to do to stop the damage that we're inflicting on this planet...and thereby, save our ourselves.
I denounce god and all figments of the imagination commonly known as god or gods as lies! I invite you and all who read this to post similar statements of rational thinking in your questions and answers here and elsewhere.

No only if I had the power to rid the world of all religion. Unorganized religion is worse than them all.

Does this include the 2 main political partys or the Global Warming believers? After all - to some these are viable religions as well. Would I? No - they have their place in a FREE society.

No, organized religion throughout the centuries has been the one to feed the hungry, care for the sick, clothe the naked, bury the dead, and stand up for injustice.
And it brings a sense of comfort to alot of people and are there for them in their times of need.

Yes I would
As I think Religion is the root to all evil, it causes wars, death, and destruction all over the world all in the name of "Religion for Power and Control of the People"
Religion is full of Hypocrite's and Deceitful People
If we all could live in peace in a Spiritual World : )
Full of Love & Harmony

I wouldn't necessarily get rid of religion, put I would get rid of the priests, rabbis, shamman, ministers, anyone pushing their faith. It would be legal to believe anything you want but you could only discuss it private with others that believe the same way.

Yes! I would totally get rid of ALL religion.
You see how much arguing there is in the R&S section here? All over whos religion is better...... the christians bash the atheists & try to convince them everything they believe is true... while the atheists (like myself) get angry & they bash the christians back because (as usual) the christians are pushing their beliefs on everyone else & complaining that they're so persecuted.
If there was no religion there would be no segregation.... it would be one less thing to separate the human race! People should rely on & help each other... not rely on some imaginary captain crunch god that never shows himself to anyone.

Yes I would in a heart beat, because religion has caused more confusion and violence among men and woman than any other organization in the world.
