Crunches and situps won't make you lose stomach fat - they'll only build up the muscles under the fat. The only way to lose fat is by cardiovascular exercize. Do something that gets your heartrate up, and keep doing it for at least 20 minutes (you don't start burning stored body fat until then). Keep doing the crunches to build up your muscle, though - when you lose the fat you'll have a nice 6-pack!

If you have stubborn belly fat, the only way you can reduce your fat is by doing aerobic exercises. During activities like swimming, rowing and walking, enough oxygen is supplied to the body to burn fat. Fat is burned from all over the body, including the stomach. Crunches and sit-ups don't get rid of fat, they tone and strengthen muscles. The only way to burn fat is to do cardio exercises such as walking, running, biking, swimming, etc. At least 30 minutes per day, but you have to get your heart rate up!

if u dnt want to work towards losing ur fat..u could try liposuction, or other medica procedures which could help u slim down. but this will be more expensive and could have side-effects. exercising is more easier and cheaper.
