My pastor says that God hates homosexuals and that people who kill abortionist doctors are the "special forces" in God's Army.

He said that we are in a spiritual war with sinners and satan and that if it's OK to defend our country in war by killing the enemy, then it's OK to defend the innocent babies who are being killed.

He reads from the Old Testament a lot and it seems like he's right, I mean, God told people to kill all the time! In fact, God said to kill homosexuals and witches!

Are most Christians weak, because they do not live according to God's Word completely?

Kill homosexuals and witches? I think most of us agree there are no witches. And the way I see it, God created homosexuals, but there is no point in trying to convince those who hate the gays of it.
It is time for a revision of Christianity, but if it was attempted, those who took part would no doubt be condemned just as Luther was when he broke from the Catholic Church.
Your pastor sound VERY radical and I would NEVER attend a church where a man preached killing doctors who practice abortion.
I will not kill or hate homosexuals, so-called witches, or doctors who administer abortion.
Rather I will practice what Jesus preached- not to judge, hate, or kill. For that, I am not a weak Christian, I am a STRONGER one.

What the heck are you smoking?!!?, "God told people to kill all the time! In fact, God said to kill homosexuals and witches!"
Yeah whatever. and he doesn't hate homosexuals he loves everybody! He just doesn't like their way and he hates that they chose that path because it can lead to sickness and destruction.
God didn't say to kill anyone unless there is a just reason. God did ask for the end of the what we call now Muslim or Islam race. Now we are in this war and it probally won't end until the final call.
Also, don't kill abortionist just try to stop them killing His beloved people!
READ YOUR BIBLE AND CHECK UP ON FACTS!!!!!!

Obviously I was wrong in thinking this would be an intelligent question.

I sometimes wonder where in history your church decided to adopt its own values and twist the words into the bible to mean what you and your pastor think they mean. If this is the state of your entire community there, I am terrified what you all would do for anyone who raises a voice against you in the street.

For one, I would suggest attending another church in your area, and learning more about your religion than accepting the words of one person, no matter his position, secondly, I would suggest you tell that pator of yours to say "5 Hail Mary's" then wipe his butt, for all the good he seems to be doing to everyone at his church.

Well,I think everyone falls short of God's grace, and has to ask for his forgiveness..We are not only in a spiritual war ,take a look all around us if it were not for police , soldiers and individuals that have put their lives on the line, and died to keep not only their family members safe ,and this nation safe ,and others out of harms way etc .this country would be in worser shape than what it is now!!!!!!!! Many individuals have lost their lives just for their country and their freedom not to mention their loved ones lives to protect them from terrorist .....

Don't know about most Christians but many are rather weak, actually most of them are, I guess. But living according to God's word completely, don't think many do that, maybe the Pope and couple of his close buddies come close to that.

I stick by my belief.....the "Bible" was translated from many years ago and little bits has probably been changed here and there to fit society's "popular" belief. It is like the game telephone, where you say something in one person's ear and by the time it gets back to you it is totally twisted! We should all respect each others beliefs and hope there is a better place to go to when we die. If not, then I want to be reincarnated as a golden retriever....love them!!

technically, murder is a sin. no, God does not hate homosexuals, formerly called "gay" people. We are in war against Satan's forces of evil. If it's ok to kill is whether you are doing it for your own purpose or for your country's or God's sake. killing abortionist doctors is a sin, because it's for our own good. God punishes people because he wants to discipline them with love, not hate. God told people to kill people because they were persecuting God's people, the Israelites.Every Christian is a "special force" in God's army. God told people to kill homosexuals and witches because they were sinning by having relationships with their own gender and using witchcraft. Some Christians are weak, not because of not following God's Word completely, but by refusing God or just turned their backs to God and found another direction to head to.

God does not hate the homosexual He hates the sin. We are all sinners in God's sight, and if we give our hearts to Him we will have eternal life with Him!

The old covenant was replaced with the new.
Jesus said of retribution in Matthew 13
30Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

As for your preacher Matthew 15
8This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
9But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

And as for you Mark 11
25And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
26But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.
