Hello! The material needs protection against pittings and rust or corrosion agents.
That means you should get a good quality priming and a nice color finishing.
After that any light-reflecting tape ( like safety 3M´s or similar) hanging or affixed will make you pretty visible (plus cool and elegant) in any circumstances.
Pedals often include reflective sticks or blocks and there are several models of front rear and side reflective "cat-eyes"in the market. I wish you all the best !... Gabriel
