Obviously the better the score the better the rate that you will be able to get. There are different tiers when it comes to auto finance and probably any other financing. 720 and above is a Tier 0 which is the best you can have. 640 to 719 is also considered good. You should have no problems getting financed. Perhaps go to your own personal bank first to find out what their rates are. Then when you are at the dealer in the finance office, let him/her know that you can get a rate of... They will do their best to beat that rate because they want to be able to have you finance through them and make a little money on the back end.

I dont know if it matters where you live, but I have a score that is about half that and I had no problems getting a car. I would suggest walking in with about a grand in cash. Dealers dont want to say no to cash down payments.

710 is the exact middle, so you are just below middle, with half the world better than you and half the world worse.

Goes from 575 to 800.

Typically, a lender or credit card company sets multiple cutoff points. For example, if you are above 800, you might be offered the Platinum card. If you are above 700, you might be offered the Gold Card. If you are on the border line, your application might be referred to a credit manager for further review.
