My C: drive Icon is missing from my computer?

My C: drive Icon is missing from my computer i know i know it is still there i can access it through run and i have created a shortcut of it on my desktop but i want it back in my computer do you know how to

Check for spyware, check Ide cable, check weather or not drive is going out, check for viruses.

Right-click on the shortcut icon on the desktop.
click Properties
see if the General tab gives you the location of C
