I was once spiritually blind before I used certain entheogens. I dont believe in any particular religion still, but am spiritual. Unless u have taken certain entheogens....u would not understand the feeling. A feeling of complete 'oneness' with the universe. I truley believe psycheldelics are the key to the answers of the universe

No LSD eases the CNS and allows to be in touch with the outside universe

I guess that explains why so many of the bible believers are previous drug abusers including the president.

Temporal lobe epilepsy and brain damage that mimics it produce the same symptoms, so I guess everybody should go in for some brain damage too. Just to get more spiritual.

No, LSD is not for everyone. Some people are too ignorant or too weak willed to understand fully the effects and changes one goes through after taking it.

I believe those that are of sound body and mind should try it at least once in their lifetime, merely for the experience and so that we can all be on the same page together. This won't happen, of course, until the ignorance and outright lies that have been spread about the drug cease and the government begins to let the people rule themselves.

I do not believe in god, or any other higher power. I do believe that the entire universe is a living being, and that we are all just machines that are part of a much bigger machine. I don't pretend to know anything more than that, and I did not need any drugs to discover my beliefs.

In my opinion, spirituality is the minds way of coping with the fact that we don't know anything.

I am an atheist and I don`t see why you think that taking any sort of drug would make me spiritual, surely when you are under the influence of drug`s you are not even thinking normally, you are only distorting your real view of life, this feeling of oneness you talk about is called a trance like state and you were probably in one when you wrote your question.
I am quite happy as I am thank you, I like to be in control of my mind, not away with the fairy`s and I certainly don`t need to be spiritual, I would not want anything like a drug to alter my thinking.
Chris.

The only entheogen I have any interest in is peyote, and even then only within the context of a ritual sanctioned by a Native American church.

I suppose you "could" in theory-but doing something that harms the body (or temple) that G-d gave us would be COUNTER-productive and against G-d. Also, if we reach a higher lever of spirituality through LSD, it would be a false spirituality, rather, we must achieve it through our hard work and genuine love for G-d.
Have a great day.

Maybe the LSD just heightened your particular feelings. Maybe different atheists need different catalysts to become enlightened.

well your user name is one of the reasons i would never do acid. I'm sorry but when someone relys on a drug to find answers that's not a good thing

That is actually very dangerous, and an unnatural firing of the neurons in your brain will not allow you to become more spiritual

I think if you need to be high to believe in god, it's not a good argument for theists. I don't want to use LSD, and I don't want to have a 'oneness' with the universe.
