Jesus (8–2 BC/BCE to 29–36 AD/CE),[1] also known as Jesus of Nazareth, is the central figure of Christianity. He is commonly referred to as Jesus Christ or Jesus the Christ, where "Christ" is a title derived from the Greek christós, meaning the "Anointed One", which corresponds to the Hebrew-derived "Messiah". The name "Jesus" is an Anglicization of the Greek Iesous, itself believed to be a transliteration of the Hebrew יהושע Yehoshua or Hebrew-Aramaic ישוע Yeshua, meaning "YHWH is salvation."

Jesus was an extra-terrestrial.

The main widely-accepted sources of information regarding Jesus' life and teachings are the four canonical Gospels of the New Testament: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Most scholars in the fields of history and biblical studies agree that Jesus was a Galilean Jew, was regarded as a teacher and healer, was baptized by John the Baptist, and was crucified in Jerusalem on orders of the Roman Governor Pontius Pilate under the accusation of sedition against the Roman Empire.[2][3] A small number of scholars and authors question the historical existence of Jesus, with some arguing for a completely mythological Jesus.[4]

Christian views of Jesus (see also Christology) center on the belief that Jesus is the Messiah whose coming was promised in the Old Testament and that he was resurrected after his crucifixion. Christians predominantly believe that Jesus is God incarnate, who came to provide salvation and reconciliation with God. Nontrinitarian Christians profess various other interpretations regarding his divinity (see below). Other Christian beliefs include Jesus' Virgin Birth, performance of miracles, fulfillment of biblical prophecy, ascension into Heaven, and future Second Coming.

In Islam, Jesus (Arabic: عيسى, commonly transliterated as Isa) is considered one of God's most beloved and important prophets, a bringer of divine scripture, worker of miracles, and also the Messiah. Muslims, however, do not share the Christian belief in the crucifixion or divinity of Jesus. Muslims believe that Jesus' crucifixion was a divine illusion and that he ascended bodily to heaven. Most Muslims also believe that he will return to the earth in the company of the Mahdi once the earth has become full of sin and injustice at the time of the arrival of Islam's Antichrist-like Dajjal.

1Jesus is a man born in an animal feeding trough as an Angel army sang about a new mid east peace plan about to unfold, but he was Christ before the manger before there was time
He is the eternally generated image of God with regard to person and the same as God with regard to nature and took on unfalen human creaturely nature at Bethlehem to be the redeemer and perfect mediator between God and man

2He has fled from Bethlehem to Egypt to escape Herod's destruction of the children but returned to Nazareth, his parents home years later. He traveled seldom but went to around the Galilee, north and west of the Galilee, through Samaria and to Jerusalem

3He has told many parables the first being the parable of the sower, which was a kind of listening seminar in preparation for listening to all his other parables

4He has performed miricles over quantity, quality, distance, healing the blind, casting out demons. healing the lame, the deaf and raising the dead

5 He has influenced others by his teachings focusing on mercy, justice and love, but mostly because of his work, by dying on the cross he allows people to glorify God leaning on His work on the cross believing for eternal life

6Some messages he has given us are the sermon on the mount around MAtthew 5 :blessed are they" and His discussion with Nicodemus in John 3 where the famous John 3:16 is taken from

This is a good time of year to be asking who Jesus is - many churches have special services on during the coming week to celebrate what many believe is the most important part of Jesus' earthly life, ie His death as a common criminal on a Roman cross after a mockery of a trial and horrendous torture. Even more important, Christians celebrate the fact that He came back to life after three days in the grave, and gave many convincing proofs to His friends that He was not a ghost but a real resurrected Person.

Have a look at www.thelife.com to answer some of your questions. Also, I see that Channel 4 are showing Mel Gibson's film "The Passion of the Christ" on Easter Sunday (8 April) which shows the last few hours of His life in graphic detail.

He performed many miracles during His time on earth, but He did not stop at that....He promised that His followers would do the same kind of thing in His name, and I have heard of people TODAY healed of blindness, cancer, deafness and other "incurable" conditions just like in the Gospels.

His teachings are best summarised in "The Sermon on the Mount" in Matthew chapters 5-7. Jesus taught a lot of things that seem impossible to do in human terms, but He did promise to give His followers the Holy Spirit to help us live that kind of a life.

in case you have not got self assurance, that may no longer that troublesome. heavily, we Christians are regrettably brainwashed from the get bypass. you're born, dad and mom take you to church, and earlier you could talk, stroll, and comprehend you have heard a hundred sermons approximately God and Jesus. Take a step lower back and look at it from somebody else's eyes. there is not any information of God, sometimes the Bible tells thoughts that not at all occurred, many situations our fellow Christians are purely Christians whilst they sense it quite is appropriate, and Christians have a foul rep with stuffing it down human beings's throats. you could no longer prepare to those that there's a God and Jesus greater suitable than a guy from scripture. The scripture replaced into written via guy in the e book which you will desire to realize is somewhat a stretch. Your faith keeps you believing and loving, however the folk you're bearing on have not any faith. and that i'm no longer able to blame them. human beings will ask God to furnish them the numbers to win the lottery. Why? Do you have a job? Did you bypass to varsity? despite it quite is which you would be able to no longer have the money for why can no longer you have the money for it? IS it on the grounds which you made undesirable judgements in life? perhaps it quite is superb in case you could no longer have the money for it to coach others that the path you took replaced into no longer the main appropriate direction. My very own ideals are that God would not intervene. I refuse to have self assurance he might enable conflict if he did. I additionally can no longer have self assurance he might enable 1 / 4 of a million human beings to be killed via a tsunami if he believed in combating such issues. It couldnt' have been all those human beings's time to bypass. Heaven and Hell, i think of human beings have the incorrect theory. How am i able to delight in somebody's business enterprise without physique? i'm no longer able to hug them, can no longer see them, hear them, and so on. So why do i desire to bypass to Heaven? i think of it quite is a physique of recommendations which you're in once you die. The satisfaction of understanding which you lived a competent life.

This is the Biblical definition of who Jesus is:

In Him is the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. All things were made by Him and without Him was not anything made that was made. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory - the glory of the only Begotten of the Father full of grace and truth.
