No, you can't apply for the FAFSA yet. It is done after January 1 of your senior year of high school for the upcoming fall semester or quarter of college. However, you can begin searching for scholarships in your sophomore year, and there are many out there. I will list several free sources for locating college scholarships.
First, the high school guidance office has a list of local and state scholarship programs out there, but most are probably geared towards juniors and seniors.
Second, the public library has a book listing scholarships with some not even listed on the web.
Third, study hard because good grades do pay with merrit scholarships. Good ACT and SAT scores do pay well with scholarships, too.
Finally, I recommend joining several free membership scholarship search websites. There are scholarships for a variety of things including ethnicity, clubs, hobbies, and even wearing duct tape to the high school prom. Most are updated on a regular basis. Most offer a customized search based on information entered onto a form on the website.
Good luck!

You can apply but there is no reason too unless you are going to college next fall...When you are ready to go to college apply after Jan. 1st of the year you will start...Correct they will go off your parents income until you are 23 years old...Married or have a child...You can however start looking at scholarships and what is available...There are thousands!!!! there is a scholarship finder on the web..It will ask you questions about what you want to major in, what your interests are, any groups you belong to...Then you could start working on essays and such if you want to get busy on that...Good Luck to ya

NO. You won't meet the requirements. but there is a way,you need to get permission from the admissions office stating that it will be ok, but it will probably be only one time, but you're too young, i mean you're still a sophmore and if you want to get college hours just take dual credit courses.

No, in order to file it, it will need to be for the following school year for example: 2007-2008 and you need to be in college during that school year, so you dont qualify just yet.
