I purchased Natural Dog Biscuits, from sams warehouse. They are a holistic hard dog cookie. The ingredients are chicken, wheat, peas, cranberries, carrots & apples. All natural and free of animal by-products, artificial color and preservatives. My question is ...are cranberries and apples toxic?

No those ingrediences are just fine. The only thing is that apples are fine just not the core or the seeds. I know they dont use those parts in the biscuits.

I just checked my list of toxic plants and foods that I hand out in Puppy Kindergarten and couldn't find cranberries or anything related to them on the list. I know that apples are not toxic but the seeds are bad for dogs. So core an apple before you give any to your dog.
Mixed in the food the fruit will be in an appropriate quantity for a daily serving. Remember if you give apple to your dog for a treat that they shouldn't get anymore than about a quarter of a small apple daily. Too much fiber can constipate them. They don't have the enzyme in their systems to allow them to break it down efficiently.

Apples and cranberries are perfectly safe for dogs. Except don't feed the apple seeds. One of my dogs loves apples. I frequently buy dog treats with apples in them and I know of some dog foods that have cranberries in them.

cranberries and apples are definetely non toxic to dogs... dog's will eat just about anything they can find including fish hooks and padlocks. the worst that could happen is your dog having an allergic reaction. if it happens just take him to a vet, but that's a slim chance of happening.

No Cranberries and apples are fine. Apple seeds are poison, they contain a natural poison in them, so you don't want to feed seeds. But apples and cranberries are fine.

They wouldn't sell very many dog treats if they were toxic.
