Bush's HUGE new proposed budget includes Cuts that helps some families in the Very Best Way:

The Walton family, the heirs to Wal-Mart fortune -- about $32.7 billion dollars richer but...(Medicaid reductions over the same time frame-- $28 billion)

The Mars candy corporation family routinely ripped by human rights organizations for trafficking in child labor to work cocoa farms will receive about $11.7 billion in tax breaks.
(Bush cuts from the VA budget --$3.4 billion)

Cox cable family receives $9.7 billion tax break (while education would get $1.5 billion in cuts)

Nordstrom dept store family receives $826.5 million tax break (while $630 million Community Service Block Grants would be eliminated)

Ernest Gallo wine family receives a $468.4 million cut while LIHEAP (heating oil to poor) would get a $420 million cut

Exxon family $164 million in tax breaks - Supplemental food $108 million in cuts.

How many rich families are happy with Bush?

The proposed budget was published in the same week and was swept under the rug for advertising dollars -- I guess Rich Britney will get richer too.

Also correction: Read: Exxon families.

Did you forget NAFTA? Open trade has thrown millions of good paying jobs to cheaper labor markets where people do the same job for about 1-5% of the wage. Where did the product come from that killed those dogs and cats and might be in human food? China? See what happens? There are many problems with politics and politicians. I pay more money when I buy "Made in USA," but at least I know someone has a decent job.

There is no such thing as the "exxon" family. Exxon Oil's old name was Humble Oil( which started nearly nearly 100 years ago).

Sellers of imports are richer because of Clinton's trade deal with China. Ever hear of the WTO? Importers will continue to get vastly richer as long as the U.S. is in the WTO, and China and India continue to devalue their money.

Can Any Liberals Explain Why Clinton Sold Out To China?

Clinton got campaign contributions from China and then gave them missile secrets.

I question your numbers but regardless, the budget is not set by the Executive Branch. It is set by the Legislative Branch. If Nordstroms gets a tax break they have to get it from Congress.

Not everyting that happens while a president is in office is his doing you know.

I'm sure many of those rich "families" are giggling in glee as they roll across the extra dough spread out over their designer 1000 thread-count sheets. Man, that pisses me off & I'm not even American.

Amen. BTW I love how one of the previous posters is howling about China...what has Bush done in his tenure to fix this situation? Nothing, he's only made it worse by lowering some tarriffs.

So whatever Clinton did wrong is ok for Bush to do wrong as well?

Maybe that's because they are both bought and paid for by corporations? Hmm, could be!

No one can say that Bus doesn't help his rich fascist friends - bet he gets a kickback too isn't it nice that the president is robbing the American tax payer? Still, suppose they deserve it if they voted for him.

Your Liberal Congress is the group that sets the Budgets....How about blaming the ones that most deserve it.
