Controlled flight into terrain. Continued into bad weather whilst flying solo and met a mountain near Beaumont CA.

32 years later there's not much info. Was there something specific you want to know?

especially lots a user-friendly pilot certificates enable you to fly some very stepped forward plane in case you have the money. you are able to take perhaps 50 hours of practise, have slightly a clue on what you're doing and in case you have the money (speaking 0.5 a million) you ought to purchase a Cirrus which will do virtually 2 hundred miles in step with hour. Its like giving a sixteen 365 days previous the keys to a race motor vehicle. whats up says your undereducated pilot concepts, i'm rated, i will legally fly it so why no longer? Who has funds? Why the celebrities of direction. medical doctors and attorneys are especially undesirable approximately killing themselves in those forms of planes. John Travolta could be a sturdy opposite occasion. he's favourite, he's a pilot with quite a few airplanes such as one airliner, yet he takes it heavily.

What a real bummer. Silly man. He was briefed by ground personel to not fly. You see this alot in NTSB reports. Underpressure or in a hurry.
