I take conventional Wellbutrin SR (a hundred and fifty mg) in the morning, and Lexapro (10 mg) with dinner, for melancholy and rigidity. i've got been taking that for over 3 years, and that is working very properly for me. The Wellbutrin SR seems to help me to be greater alert and lively - and desirous to do issues - whilst the Lexapro makes me greater mellow, and it enables me sleep greater effective, too. they are particularly low doses of each medicine, which keeps edge outcomes at a minimum. i in my view can no longer tell i'm taking any medicine in any respect. there are extremely some people who take Wellbutrin with their SSRI's, it enables to counteract diverse the a hazard edge outcomes of the SSRI's - inclusive of drowsiness, weight income, and the sexual edge outcomes. It quite does make a distinction!!

I know this isn't what you wanted but:
I hated Lexapro. It worked for a little while but then I think I built up a tolerance for it. It made me FAT, too. I gained around 30 lbs on it. The withdrawl symptoms were miserable. I'm now on Cymbalta and love it.

I agree with the first post... it didn't do much for my depression but I gained so much weight! I've talked to others who have had similar results.
THAT SAID.... please know that results are subjective and according to the other posts, not everyone responds the same.
But instead of focusing on whether it is "working or not", take notice of whether you find yourself eating more or gaining weight or having other side-effects. Especially if you find yourself eating and not feeling "full". Just an FYI.
Stuff like that with anti-depressants and other mood meds is very common and part of the territory. They all respond to each individual differently.

i've known many people on lexapro and it's worked very well for all of them. they never mentioned side effects either. what is it you're worried about? give it some time to work. i'm sure you'll be fine.

My psychiatrist put me on it, because he believes it to be among the "new generation" of the SSRIs, and the best.
It helped my depression, but because I'm bi-polar, he combined a low dosage of klonopin. The klonopin was too low, and I was manic to the 10th degree.
Having said that, it worked on the depression.
If that is all you are taking it for, you'll benefit.
As with all of these, watch for side effects.
Good luck.
