I really want to get my tongue peirced but i am pentecostal and i wear skirts everyday to school i was brought up in the church but does it say tongue peircing is bad in the bible! And if i did get my tongue peirced would i be backslidding?

I just recently became Pentecostal and not sure what to say as a pentecostal, but speaking as an individual I personally think there is nothing wrong with it, but then again I could see why people would find it to be wrong....the whole "your body is your temple" and then again your not getting a tattoo and your not having a child out of wed lock either. We are also told to love one another regardless. I also had a friend who got her tongue pierced and eventually grew out of it. It is your choice. My advice is that you pray about it and think about the pros and the cons before you do something you may regret later on.

well, I don't know much about pentecostal religion, but if getting your tongue peirced is that important to you, ask you pastor(s), they will know the right awnser. Plus, getting your tonuge peirced is not the most greatest thing in the world. Once you get it, you'll just say "oh, well that it i guess." you'll probably get bored of it soon. Also, if it gets infected, it will swell, causing you to talk very weird. If you do get it. Do Not eat spicy food for months, im serious, that will cause swelling too.

If you are walking with the Lord, you can not be of the world (the ungodly lifestyle), the bible states that you must come out from among them (meaning the world) be ye separated thus saith the Lord!! IN this world you should be a light, dont let the devil tempt you! Be strong for the Lord, dont let peer pressure take over you. The bible talks about body piercings and tattos, and that we should dress in modest apparel.
I love the Holiness lifestyle, I been saved since I was nine (back in the 80's) and I dont regret it, I know God to be a Keeper!! IF YOU WANT TO BE KEPT. THE DEVIL COMES TO KILL STEAL AND DESTROY YOU!! AND HE ALSO CAME TO SIFT U AS WHEAT!! AND SEE WHEN YOU HAVE THE GENUINE HOLY GHOST, IT WILL LEAD YOU AND GUIDE YOU INTO ALL TRUTH AND RIGHTEOUSNESS. SO IF YOU HAVE THE HOLY GHOST AND THE BAPTISM IN JESUS NAME (ACTS 2:38) THEN YOU WOULD KNOW THE ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION. THEY SAY THE APOSTOLICS (DOCTRINE) PENTECOSTAL (BY EXPERIENCE) CANT HAVE FUN!!! THAT IS LIE FROM THE PIT!! YOU CAN HAVE FUN!!!

Sorry to say but yes, you will burn in hell for eternity. You will forever hear the screams of other sinners who have committed the same vile act that you are considering...oops, that's the punishment for piercing your ear...piercing your tongue is even worst punisment...and that punishment is listening to Sanjaya from American Idol try to sing 24 hours a day, 7 day a week...forever.

It says tongue peircing is wrong in the bible? Now thats new to me.
As for the notion of doing it for you, what's wrong with that? Do you breath to praise your god? Do you go to school to praise your god? Well I suppose you would if you go to a Christian School.
Not everything has to be about god... it's ok to do something for yourself everyonce in a while. Are you not allowed to have any fun in this lifetime, simply because you're Christian.
I don't know a lot about your form of Christianity, but I would still say it has to leave some room to be yourself.

Make your desires and your beliefs consistent.
Be a tongue piercer or be a pentacostal.
Your pentacostal piers will judge you for piercing.

well i am a penticostal too..but i think that what you ant to do is not bad for you if you trully do believe in Jesus & God. but then if you are a true penticostal why would you do this. i would advice u not to do it. think what is the hole reason for doing it...does it have anything to do with giving praise to God??? it doesn't. it's for your own use...i would really no do it in my opinions. and you will have serious problems with it because it's not safe or healthy if you study science and look and the human body.
