That's easy: If you have faith, you believe what you are told. You do not ask questions or look for proof. SO repeat after me:
God did it.
It's the truth because it's in the Bible (don't waste time reading it, just repeat what you are told to repeat)
I know it's true because I can feel it in my gall bladder or lung or heart, whatever seems inspiring to you.

Great question. Actually, most of the fossil evidence we find would be easily explained by a world wide flood...
The different layers actually support the flood, not contradict it. If there was a worldwide flood not all animals would die at once. Some would die in the first day, while some might go on for weeks. It would depend upon their size and weight, their ability to swim, how long they could live without eating, etc., etc. Naturally we would expect very large, land dwelling dinosaurs to die before resourseful humans. It is not surprising that dinosaur bones and human bones are not found in the same location at the same depth. However, every anceint civilization has paintings of dinosaur or dragon like creatures. Egyptian, Chinese, European, even Native American. The diferences in the locations of bones can be explained, the other cannot (unless, of course, man and dinosaur really DID live together).
As far as the dates go...
Carbon 14 dating is very unreliable. Archeologists only use carbon-14 dating as evidence if it backs up their preconceived beliefs. For example, if an archeologist finds a piece of pottery, or jewlry, or even human remains, and they believe it to be around 5,000 years old, based on where they found it, the patterns of the pottery, or whatever other clues they have, and they carbon date it to be 13,000 years old they will still say the artifact is 5,000 years old. We also know that carbon-14 is water soluable. This means that if a fossil is formed in a flood the amount of carbon-14 that remains in the fossil will be almost non-existent, giving the bones a very, very old date. Most scientists will acknowledge that carbon-14 dating is mostly useless past 5,000 years, and that is only under certain given circumstances.
As far as other methods of dating...
Rocks, dust particles, etc. would also all have different densities and would settle at different rates. Other methods of dating really don't prove the earth is old, they assume the earth is old, and then date based on those assumptions.
The Bible is not wrong, and your last two attacks certainly don't prove it. First of all, the earth is flat. Don't believe me? Just go to Kansas. The earth is very flat right there. We still talk about it being flat today. Even scientists. They aren't saying that the earth isn't a globe, they are just talking from a certain perspective. Nowhere does the Bible talk about someone falling off the edge of the earth, or any such nonsense. The sun does circle the earth (the Bible does not use the word orbit). Don't believe me? Look at your newspaper. It will tell you the exact time the sun will rise, and the sun will set. Does that make the paper wrong? Should you not believe that a flood took place that the paper recorded because it tells you the sun rises and sets? Of course not. The Bible does not say the earth is the center of the universe, either. It may use language that sounds that way, but that is only natural, isn't it? We don't think of ourselves as being on the edge of a spiral of a galaxy, we think of ourselves as being on Earth, and everything else is "outer" space. Our scientists STILL use such terminology, why condemn the Bible for it?

The Bible does not state the earth is flat, people believed that when the Bible mentioned the four corners of the earth that meant the earth was square shape. This illustrates the problems you run into when you try to make the Bible cover every facet of knowledge rather than treat it as the autobiography of God. I need help finding the verse that states the moon and sun orbit the earth, I could not find it, but I would be happy to respond to that if you can tell me where it is. As for the flood, there are flood stories in many cultures that indicate some world wide catastrophe. As far as Noah knew his whole world had been flooded. Once again the Bible is written by men who are inspired by God. These are God's stories but are written by men, the influence of the men is seen but it does not alter the truth behind it. What I mean is that internet and television were not available, not even a post office. Noah was on a boat a really long time and could not see anything but water, as far as he knew the world was flooded. If you are interested in God read the Bible, if you want a geological history, that is not the purpose of His word. The purpose of the creation is to emphasise that God created everything, the purpose of the flood story is that when humanity became so depraved as to be without goodness, God sent the flood.

Where did you get the following statement?
"The bible is wrong. Just like it was about the earth being flat and existing at the center of the universe with the moon AND sun orbiting around it."
Certainly not from the Bible. As a mater of fact, the Old Testament clearly states the the earth is a globe and it hangs on nothing.
And do you know why circumcision is done on the eight day, according to the Bible? Medical science only found that out within the last 40 years or so. Let me remind you: a baby's ability to fight off diseases gradually decreases and his blood-clotting ability gradually increases from the time of birth. Based on linear programming, guess which day the two graphs intersect? ON THE EIGHT DAY ! Just how did Moses know THAT 4 000 years ago?
And I can go on with many such examples. If science is proving the Bible right in all these areas, on what basis do I doubt its veracity about the flood? But there are evidence, both from anthropology and geology. But your interpretation is based on your worldview and mine is based on my worldview.

Dear Pimp:
First:
The Bible always said the earth was round. Isaiah 40:22
The Bible never said the earth is at the center of the universe.
You might be confusing christianity with catholicism.
Mistake.
Is the Bible's mention of a flood accurate?
Jesus spoke of the flood as historical.
But you might not accept that.
The Historical and Critical Commentary of the Old Testament, says:
“...it is the result of an event which really happened in the ages of the childhood of mankind.”

There is ur problem, all of the layers were made in the flood. The dating methods that u use have problems and quite frankly for the most part rely on the Geologic Column to work, which is false.
And for pete's sake, the Bible said the earth was round, and that the earth went around the sun

The Bible does not describe a worldwide flood. On the contrary, the Bible describes a local Mesopotamian flood that hit around 3000 BC, and which has been repeatedly confirmed by archaelogy.
Don't confuse what the Bible says with what some guy down at the local "church" believes. Read it for yourself, in the original languages.

So you expect a deluge from the sky and below the earth to make lots of dead things end up in one strata. Or you think Christians think that. Land mammals would have been washed into the sea, perhaps marine exploration will find something. We have only just started looking. There is evidence to suggest a deluge if you look at it. Which you may or may not do.
Well I understand but why are you stuck on strata if you're trying to look at it from a creation view point. Is it possible that the creatures were eaten or washed away? I don't want to be obvious but there may be more evidence under the ocean.
There isn't really any depth to this. I don't mean that your not thinking It may be that you have just started thinking about it. I just mean you have to look at it without getting wound up and without closing up.
This is far too massive a subject for one question. Thanks though that was interesting.

Its because when the story of noah was wrote the authors were able to log onto the internet and check out the weather forcast for the next couple of weeks which showed "massive flooding" across the entire earth.

Uh yeah the bible is wrong, but why are you taking it so seriously if it's wrong. It's not about being right or wrong especially about the facts you've listed, it's about getting the point across and about having faith. Nothing more really. It's scary how some people take every thing in the bible seriously.
