so some people already figured out what my question was. it was why the bible says so incest(which i agree is very bad) but that adam and eve's children would have had to have committed incest for it to be true. i dont think its true, i was just wondering why people are such bashers of athiests and say that we do alot of wrong by not listening to the bible. but isnt it incest wrong?? yes. could i just have some stuff explained to me.

i am asking this NOT because (according to some peope who wouldnt listen to me) i am having doubts about my religion, OR because i want to be converted. i just want to know, because i was brought up in a unitarian church where i studied all religions, and i love to do that. im asking only out of curiousity.

thank you for those who arnt going to bash me for being atheist.

Adam and Eve were created genetically pure. There would not have been any adverse birth defects resulting from their children interbreeding.

Who did their children intermarry? Their sisters and brothers, and from there - their cousins. It was not until the Law of Moses was handed down several hundred years later, that incest was specifically "outlawed".

hope this helps.

I will not bash you for being a Unitarian or an aethiest. But I will go on to post this...

What did Jesus say about Himself? Jesus said that He was the only way to inherit eternal life. What does that mean? If we humans fail to choose to accept Jesus as Savior, then our destiny is foretold. Jesus talked quite abit about Hell and Heaven.

Hell is a real place. Bill Weise has been there and written a book called "23 Minutes in Hell" where he talks about what he felt and what he saw. His testimony can be seen on www.SpiritLessons.com

Before I would invest my spiritual destiny in a denomination such as the Unitarians, I would investigate the complete truth of the New Testament.

I'm a UU too. The Christians I've talked to say either

1) The Bible is allegorical, not literal. (That means it is a convenient legend for explaining our existence, not the real truth; sort of like Aesop's fables.
or
2) God created some more people for Adam and Eve's children to marry. They just didn't get listed in the Bible.

Noah's children took their wives with them on the ark, so they didn't have to marry each other either.

what's a sin? answer: A sin is to bypass against God and His commandments. A regulation or commandment would not develop right into a regulation or a commandment till God says that's. The regulation of incest did no longer initiate till Moses circumstances, hundreds and hundreds of years after the e book of Genesis. So, it replaced into no longer a sin or immortal to marry your individual siblings. today that's.
