I'm sure many do. Too bad there are no gods.

Though, that doesn't stop many people. They'll just imagine that they have a relationship with their god. And as long as they can work themselves up enough emotionally, that's enough proof for them that there really is a relationship.

is's definately not tradition and mockery. and a real relationship with God is a wonderful thing that does take a lil faith which many here obvoiusly lack.

Everyone already has a REAL relationship with God. Some people understand and value that more than others.

Cheers.

I'll take the religion and tradition - you can keep the mockery.

I do have a real relationship with God the Father, made possible through the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus -- with Whom I am also in close relationship, of course.

I agree with following what's known as a 'holiness lifestyle' or a 'lifestyle of personal holiness.' We obey God's commands and laws as found in the New Testament because we love Him and want to please Him, not because it's tradition or because we think we're earning His favor in any way. I love Him, so it only follows that I'd want to do what pleases Him. I mess up fairly frequently, of course, and am very glad for His forgiveness and love.

If you want to ask me more about that, please email me.

Everyone is doing the best they can given their current belief system.

Stop judging the views of others, and your own relationships will stop being mockeries.

I believe so. But they're not usually the ones screaming about their relationship with God from the rooftops, so you have to look a little closer to find them.

Please enlighten us with what a "REAL relationship with God" is. Is it your set of traditions which is somehow better than anyone elses? Or are you talking about a mating type of relationship. A "real relationship" to me means getting married, or someone that you constantly do things for and they do things for you. If you beleive in the second type of relationship, what is it that you get from God, and what do you give to him? Just be honest with yourself. There is no God anyway, it is a myth only.
