I don't consider myself close-minded, though some might. I'm not so open minded that my brains have fallen out, as is the case with some.
The concept of being an open book means that you are transparent in motive and not secretive, or that you keep nothing private. On that aspect, even though I try to remain transparent in my motives, I'm not always an open book.

Well, Dad *did* used to say "why you wanna have an open mind boy? People'll just be throwin' crap in there". He wasn't much on resorting to books, neither.
