Can 1/2 & 1/2 be made from vit D milk W/ what most people have in their kitchens?

The 1/2 & 1/2 you are talking about is supposed to be 1/2 -- 4% milk (that is the milk you refered to) and 1/2 light cream.
To make it at home mix togeather4% milk and light cream ( like coffee cream ) at the rate of 50% each. Evaporated milk will take the place of light cream .
