Everytime I go to tell my mother that I want to move out, and go live with one of my dad's first cousins (which is also my fathers legal residence address or w.e) she throws the cops in my face, saying if I leave she'll call them and what not, however, I have a friend who's mom is a social worker & she said that if I do move out & she does in fact call the police, all the police will do is show up at the house, ask if im ok to live there & if im happy or w.e and if im fine, leave it at that.

Does anyone know what would really happen? o.O

I am not sure about this, but I think it has to be like 6 months after your 16th birthday or something, but as far as I know your friend's mom is correct. If you are indeed past whatever that age is, then you can choose to move out, and your mom is powerless to do anything to stop you, as long as you are found safe, and not in a place that would be dangerous for you to be staying at somehow (like if there was a registered sex offender at the address or something). If your mom does call the cops, all they can do is check on your safety, but nothing more, especially if you tell them you do not want you mom to be told where you are. Hope that helps. Good luck!
