Paul combined the faith of the Hebrews with the faith of the Greeks, and Christianity was born.

Basically because the Christian religion wanted to convert everyone they possibly could to expand their wealth and influence all over the world. (Despite what some people would have you believe it was definately NOT for benign or altruistic reasons!) If God remained just a regional or ancestral deity, then it certainly couldn't expand their (the high ranking Christians) influence. That's the reason why Christianity also adopted so many Pagan customs while at the same time denouncing those customs as evil. Pretty good trick, huh???

There isn't a Christian or Jewish or any other kind of God, there's just God.
There were pagans at the same time as Jews. Jesus the Jewish carpenter, was a great philosopher and people were drawn to him, and wanted to be like him and follow his teachings. His message was for everyone to love one another, and that's all. Jesus didn't write the bible, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John did, but Jesus get all the flack. He followed Jewish law, and He was a very devout Jew. He knew Kaballah and everything, he was a fantastic rabbi! Jesus never said "Believe in me or you're going to hell." He said, "Believe in me and you shall have life everlasting." He never added the clause, "but if you choose not to, that's cool, we'll see you in hell." God gave us free will, you get to live your life however you want. If you choose to follow a group or religion or sect or what ever, that's your choice. As long as you remember that your rights end where another person's begins, you'll be fine and no one will care.
Also, only Mormons go to heaven, so don't worry about all that, we're all going to hell no matter what. See you there!

God said in the Bible that if you people will not worship me, I will raise the stone to do so.
Remember, the Jews rejected Jesus Christ. Since He was rejected by His own people, He simply went to a place where He will me accepted which is to the gentiles.

The Jewish People rejected God's Laws to the point where they actually twisted God's Law so that it was used to crucify God.
Just as Isaiah foretold.

Christianity was much easier to follow in the days of pantheons of gods and goddesses, converting from 50 deities to 1-2 made it much easier.

1. God is not an It. He has a name. So show some reverence.
2. God is the God of everyone....He wasnt just the God of the Jews...but He was the God of everyone starting from creation.
3. God just said the Jews were His people...who knows why? I dont. thats something u will have to ask God urself. when God said they are His people...it doesnt make them anymore special than us...God just set aside those people from the other...instead of us all being a huge group of Gentiles....He decided to set a group of people seperate from us and call those people, His People. i dont know why. He has a plan...and i doubt that Hes hasnt seperated them from us for a reason.
4. we arent forced to worship Him. we have a choice..its free will. God knows those who will come to Him, and those who will turn away from Him. He knows everything! but God calls ALL people to come to Him...even though He knows its not gonna happen. God tries to get as many people as He can to come to Him.
5. He doesnt force us to come to Him cuz then He would be like a dictator....and if u look at the countries with dictators...those kind of governments dont work out too well.especially when they are forced to do things...when they feel they have no reason. so God doesnt force us...He shows us a reason...and we make the choice to believe it. and He lets us make the choice to accept Him or deny Him.
6. if u do deny Him...u have denied His grace..and there is no place for u in Heaven. God wants to save u from hell...not put u there because u dont believe in Him. we put ourselves there. God does not. when we dont believe in God...we go to hell because it is the punishment. God did not create the punishment...but ask the king of sin who created this punishment...the king of sin is satan. God is HOLY. no human deserves to stand before Him. and every human deserves to burn in hell....so thats the punishment when u do the most ungodly thing...deny Christ.
7. God offers u a a place in Heaven...jsut for u..many people will say no and go to hell...cuz how can God help u....if u wont let Him? He wants to help u so u wont go to hell...but how can He stop u...if u continue doing what ur doing because u feel like ur right? God did make hell for a place for satan to be with his demonscuz they could no longerbe in heaven...but u will go to be with satan...cuz anything thats not of God...is of satan. and when u deny God...u are not of God...so therefore..u are of satan. satan is ur boss...and ur king...so why not go to stay with him eh? but once u see the dictator that he is...u want to leave immediately. but u cant...first God gives us many chances...until our time is up.
God bless u. =]

Actually He was always the God of the whole earth. The Bible is a record of His dealings with certain groups of people. There are additional records of His dealings with other groups.
