Must be because it requires no research. Easier to believe what one book says than to believe thousands of others.

It's more believable that a donkey talked than that the weight of evidence confirming evolution could all be wrong but they don't know that. They think evolution of species is a matter of conjecture or just a theory when it's a matter of indisputable fact.

I know. Its completely insane. They have no problem with a talking donkey, a talking burning bush, a talking snake, giants, etc but can't seem to undertsand that evolution only applies to living species and the concept of a common ancestor.

The 'theory of evolution' may be part of the problem. spontaneous creation (well one day?) is also an UN-proven theory. How about: creative evolution, or evolutionary creation?
I've listened to ravens dogs and cats talk --- and understood them all. Hmmm..... must be in my genes ---- or I forgot to take my psych meds those times!

Good question! I've often wondered why those who dispute evolution do so on the grounds that they refuse to believe that we came from a common ancestor shared with apes; yet, they readily believe we came from dirt.
It's senseless.
