No.
well, you can "get" a ticket for anything, but not a conviction. Show up in court, tell the judge your story, and ask if you need a public defender. Dress nice---no visible tattoos or major piercings, button-down shirt, nice pants and shoes. look the judge in the eye and try to look relaxed.

If you've been drinking,it doesn't matter where the bottles are. However, if you have not been drinking, you can get a ticket if there is open alcohol within reach of the driver (open means that the seal has been broken). I think that normally the trunk does not qualify asbeing within reach of the driver.

No. You can not get arrested for having open bottles of liquor in the trunk. But you can get arrested if you were drinking out of those bottles prior to putting them in your trunk and driving recklessly, as a result.

You mean you had an open (no cap) bottle in your trunk?
Or do you mean it's been opened - if it's in your trunk I t hink it's ok.
Just if it's in the passenger compartment you can get into trouble. Even if the passenger is drinking it.

Depends on the state, but I should hope not if they're in your trunk.
