What I think he means is:
in relation to the question "Am I being a monster becaue I didn't cry?" by some girl
The true anwser isnt there so he picked the closet one "reality hasn't quite kicked in"
He thinks the real anwser is that shes not able to understand what has really happened because shes only 13 and immature.
As to what his question is, I'm not quite sure.
