Can you rewrite a Bible verse, Seuss-style? (I can't; I'm not very creative...)

That God "I am", That God "I am"
Says "Do not eat green eggs or ham"
Do not eat them, they're unclean
Do not eat them, or I'll vent my spleen.

Eat them on the Sabbath and you'll atone
People will chuck rocks and break your bones
Do not eat them here or there
I'm God, I'll know. I'm everywhere.

*sigh* I tried!

That's a great idea! Except for the fact that Dr. Seuss's main objective was to write books using only one syllable words that preschoolers can read... Jesus will have to be written out!

There once was a man from the nation of Uz
Righteous and holy and upright he was
He had his full share of things under heaven
His daughters were three and his sons they were seven.

"before I kill you with this jackass' jawbone, I'd love to treat you to some green eggs and ham. Maybe then - I'll not have to kill by bloodying my hands,, . . cause you, will have died of food poisoning! . . Just a loving brotherly offer, Able, beloved sibling!"
Of course the Bible would have VERILY, VERILY been far more fun to read if, written by Seuss, the Doc!!!

Both books are great works of fiction and some truths. The bible would not makem it in the history books as truth.

Naughty children? beat with sticks,
That's the only Godly fix!
Still won't listen to your commands?
Stone them dead, into God's hands

Did he walk on water?
Did he? Yes, you bet!
Not only walked on water,
But his feet weren't even wet!

Did he feed the 5000?
On ice-cream and jelly?
Well maybe not, but what they got,
Was bread and fish and full belly.
