No, it is quite safe - well it must be - like everyone else I too have frozen many a stew/casserole with those two ingredients, and I'm still here,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,or am I just a figment of someone's imagination? Ooohhh.............

No, I wouldn't worry. If you freeze cooked peas (I take it that the stew had peas in it) they'll lose what little they had left of their texture, but it's not dangerous and it's not worth losing the convenience of being able to freeze left-over stew.

Ive never heard of that. I swear Ive seen peas and pearl onions frozen together in the same package.

And what about the bags and bags and bags of Petit Peas with Pearl Onions that I buy year round at my grocery??? Nothing weird seems to happen to them........Just that around my house, they get vacuumed up by everybody.....Enjoy!!!

My great-great grandmother was the last woman to be executed at Lancaster Castle, UK, for witchcraft, but I never heard that one! We witches have become somewhat sceptical and cynical with time.
But we keep our secrets, and onions and peas together don't figure in my do's and don'ts.

I've been cooking (homade cooking) for 35 years and I freeze soups, casseroles, etc. and nothings happened yet.I have never heard that one before.

i don't think so,cause i buy pearl onions that are mixed with peas sometimes.
