In French, how would you say "How big is the article?"?

Would the following be correct: Comment de grand c'est l'article?

They would maybe understand you, but it's not very good French. Better French would be :

"Quelle taille a l' article?"

or more specific :

"Quelle taille a cet article?" (""How big is this article?")

The thing is that in French the form "how + adjective" does not exist. "Comment de grand" sounds really weird in French. I might suggest "C'est quoi la taille de l'article?" or some silmilar circumlocution. You would be more likely to come across something like "Il est longue de combien de centimetres/metres/kilometres".

I would say 'Quelle est la grandeur de l'article?' because the construction 'comment (de) grand' doesn't exist in French. Compare 'Quel age a-t-il?' for 'How old is he?'; 'Quelle est la longeur du bateau?' for 'How long is the boat?'

We say "Comme l' article est grand!"
if it's an article is from newspapers you'd better say "long" instead of "grand".
