Sure I do, if I never then people would think I was un-hygienic, if you have solidified mucus hanging out of your nostrils then it scares people away...
I do not eat it, as some people do (I've seen grown men do this absent mindedly). Its a waste of protein getting rid of it really, but its disgusting to eat it really. The alternative blowing your nose is painful for me, as my nose was broken several years back. Anything that isn't solid can be cleared into the back of the throat by a large inward sniff. Its the same stuff thats in the back of your throat anyway, so whats the problem?

I can't speak for women, because I have never taken a lot of notice, but I think you will find most men pick their noses, especially when sitting waiting for traffic lights to change.
