Leviticus 27:28-29 "Note also that any one of his possessions which a man vows as doomed to the Lord, whether it is a human being or an animal, or a hereditary field, shall be neither sold nor ransomed; everything that is thus doomed becomes most sacred to the Lord. All human beings that are doomed lose the right to be redeemed; they must be put to death."

If you read the passage carefully, it does not say God required anything, but that if a man devotes anything to the Lord of all he has, including a human slave, which could not include an Israelite, as these could not be owned; that if the man devoted his possession to the Lord, the act of devotion was irrevocable, and the devoted thing must be put to death.
Others interpret the word you render "doomed", as "set apart", or "devoted", and distinguish the second verse from the first verse, which they interpret as referring to those under a sentence of death as required for certain transgressions of the Law, who could not pay their way out of the death sentence by a ransom.
Incidentally, if you want a New Testament example of where this word occurs, it is rendered by a transliteration of the Greek word "anathema"; that is, accursed. We read in I Corinthians 16:22
"If anyone does not love the Lord, let him be anathema (accursed)"; that is, set apart for eternal destruction.

The Word says that the Laws of Moses were not understood from the beginning. God never commanded anyone to kill his creatures. This was pagan, and they would not stop doing it. Read Isaiah 66.
The word "blood" is symbolic for ones personal spiritual power. The Book of Hebrews says WE have not yet resisted unto blood.
We have cut ouselves off from the Source of Life, that is all around us. And we jealously hang on to our spiritual energry, as well as all the suffering and pain within. That is why there will still be a time of suffering to come. So we will let go of these negative spiritual energies that cannot exist in the Higher Heaven. If Christ took us up with all that in us, we would perish in the Divine Fires of Heaven

Without blood there is no forgiveness of sins. (Hebrews 9:22)

The sacrifices of goats and lambs were not pleasing to God, because it had to be done over and over again and it kept reminding God of sin.

So God chose a Sacrifice that was pleasing to Him and would cover sin once and for all, His Son, Jesus Christ.(Hebrews 8:26-28)

Abraham's Faith was so strong that he was willing to sacrifice his son Isaac.
Isaac's Faith was so strong that he was will to lay down his life.

God told Abraham, "do not lay a hand on the boy.
Do not do anything to him. Now I know that you fear God, because you have not withheld from me your son, your only son."
God provided a ram for the sacrifice.

God chose His Only Son as the Ultimate Sacrifice for All sins,
for the whole world.

Sacrifice showed love for God and blood was a symbol of repentance, and life sacrifices. We stop sacrifices because Jesus was the eliminate and ultimate sacrifice. God order us to believe that Jesus died for our sins. We sacrifice today by doing this, believing in Christ as our Holy Savior and Lord.

God never required human sacrifices. And that is under Jewish laws in the Old Testament. We are now in the New Testament under Christian Law.One cannot live under two sets of laws.

Great question. Jesus sacrifice fulfilled the law as it was prophesied from Adam to Noah to Abraham to fulfilled by Jesus to us now in the last days of the world. Jesus is the sacrifice "God will provide" as Abraham said to Isaac when God saw his faith. God has provided himself as the sacrifice, that his how loving and serious he is. He is Holy.

its got to do with the death penalty. if some one murders they can not be sold into slavery and must be put to death they are god property and there sin cannot be redeemed on this planet threw work or slavery but only in heaven. when you comet a crime you are in debt to the person you hurt so if some murders your wife in turn there life belongs to you and you cannot sell it or put it into slavery but must kill it sending it to god.

Because Jesus supposedly became the 'living sacrifice' and therefore instead of sacrifice sinners could find redemption by inviting him into their lives and accepting him.
