I will be traveling from Canada to California THEN driving 8 hours (including stops) with three small children (I know.... crazy!). Anyway, I am wondering if there is anything I can (legally) take to keep me awake during the driving portion of my trip? Coffee may or may not work ........ I'm thinking all it will "really"do is make me stop at "rest areas" ........... something I DON'T want to do with my small kids.

Thanks!

what r u thinking don't take something "over the counter" just drink cofee in the morning with a really healthy and big breakfast so u can stay awake and in the afternoon drink soda or cofee again. okay see ya and hope u stay awake and alert on the road. good luck! plus, u have to make stops since u have little ones in the car. let them take "bathroom breaks" too.

My advice is to break your trip into two driving days, overnighting and getting some sleep before continuing.

Taking drugs of any kind would be a very bad idea, in my opinion.

Safe travels!

With anyone, including you in the car and me on the roads with you, please don't rely on drugs!!! Rely on MOTHER NATURE and get 9+ hours of sleep the 2 or 3 nights b4 you leave and EVERY NIGHT of your trip !!! All studies show HUMANS NEED 9+ HOURS PER NIGHT of SLEEP to be at their best!!! And you are carrying PRECIOUS CARGO and SO AM I !!! Please dont drive too many miles in a day and kill us!!! %00 to 600 a day is tops. If you dont have time either shorten the distance you will travel or fly! I did the math and flying now costs 2/3s less than driving !!!
Please don't risk everyone's lives! Is this trip worth burying your children???
