well first off I hope it is older than a week. I'm sure that was a mistake. But you can try to put the poop in the litter box then take the kitten place it in the box and take his paw and scratch at the litter to cover the poop. This will teach him to go and then to cover it to

what are you doing with a week old kitten??? where is the mommy?? they can't be little box trained for a few weeks from now. mommy shows them how to do the litter box.

you should put all the kittens and the mommy in a box, with blankets, they will go to the bathroom on the blankets but that's normal. after a few weeks then put a small litter box into the box so then mommy can show them how to use it. you need to be patient. If you don't have a mommy cat, then i would find a rescue place ASAP and tell them you want to keep the kitten but it doesn't have a mommy.... or the kitten will never survive. i have a 4-5 week old kitten and she didn't survive cause mommy stopped feeding her at the age of 3 weeks and my sister got rid of the mother which was a bad idea to begin with. please either keep the kitten with the mommy or take it to the nearest rescue centre so they can find a nursing mommy.

a week old? are you sure? it shouldnt be away from its mother. if it really is only a week old, then you are being totally unreasonable and irresponsible expecting the poor creature to use a litter box. Its mother would teach it how to be clean, if its a week old, it should be in professional care.

A week old? That's not even old enough to be away from momma, more or less be litter box trained.

I sure hope you just wrote in the wrong age....
