I don't want to take them to a shelter.

Actually, a shelter is the best route. Find a no kill shelter. Kittens go very quickly. The shelter can weed out potential animal hoarders or abusers and will require vet care and spay neuter of the new owner. If you just give them away to anybody, you don't know what might happen to them. Wait till they are 8 weeks old to separate them from mom, then take them to a shelter and take mom to be spayed so you don't have this problem again. Good luck!

That's why you should have had her spayed before she got pregnant!

Put an note up at the vet office offing kittens to good homes, contact the shelter and ask them to send people your way if they have someone who would like a kitten.

Spay your cat so this won't happen again :(

Put an ad in the newspaper but don't let them go to new homes without screening the potential new pet parents first. If you don't do that, bad individuals could hurt or even kill the kittens later in life. Your queen (queen is a term for female cat) should be spayed before her next heat. Our almost 3 year-old female dog Misty almost had puppies because of not being spayed when she was younger than two yrs! We later (thankfully) got her fixed. There are alot of low-cost spay/neuter clinics where your cat could get spayed.

Why did you allow her to become pregnant then?

The kittens have to stay with the Mom for at least 6 weeks anyway. In the meantime, contact cat rescues in your state for placement. One the kittens are weaned, spay your cat.

Maybe you could put a add in the paper and make sure they go to good homes. Also I would suggest getting you're kitty spayed if you don't want kittens in the future..a lot of vet's are willing to work with you to help prevent unwanted pet's.

If you are in winnipeg, manitoba i know a great place that won't kill them, but will keep them healthy and get homes for them. It's a place on mcphillips called cat tails rescue. they are the greatest people. If your interested i can give you teh address and number???
How many are there??? If you want you could keep two to keep each other company and then get rid of the others. If you don't take them to the rescue place, just choose very good homes for them alright. >^.^<

Once the kittens are 8 weeks old, you can post an ad on Petfinder.com and/or Craigslist.org to find new homes for them.

Or you can contact a no-kill rescue that'll find new homes for them, and you could consider fostering them until they do.

list them on craigslist or post an ad around town. i do not recommend saying "free kittens" because some kitty-mills look for these ads and scoop them up for you-know-what. i'd say "kittens for adoption to good homes" then when they call/meet/etc. you can of course give them away free.

Maybe you should have thought of that BEFORE you decided NOT to spay your cat.
