If he did pass on that is the way they communicate with their loved ones because your subconsious mind is open for anything while the other part of your brain is sleeping. Just say that your father visits you while you are sleeping and you think that he's just checking on you from time to time.

Has he passed away if so then...that's fantastic that you still have connection with him. tell your mum she probably has the same dreams.

tell her. she'll know what to do. and maybe she'll even let you go visit him. she might have hated him for all he's worth but she'll know that is not what you feel.
