She is very alpha, and yeah spoiled. We do have the option to bring him back if they don't mesh. Should we wait until she turns 1 to 1 1/2?

I would say do it as soon as possible! It will be way better than if your 7 month old pug was a year. I have a 6 year old pekingnese and a few weeks ago I finally found a puppy from a breeder I was talking to. It was so hard (and I'm still working out problems) to introduce the 8 week old dachshund puppy to my pekingnese. My peke was alpha male and ruled the house and was never too fond of other dogs in the house. Now my dachshund and peke can at least be in the same room together! I just know that if I had gotten a puppy when my peke was younger they could have grown up together and it wouldnt have been so hard to get one to like the other.

It will probably take a few days for them to get along, thats all. Just remember to spay/neuter them both and keep up the training!

Thats my experience, hope that helped!

I brought home an 8 week old female pug to my 7 month old male pug. It was the best thing in the world for him. They have a very close bond now. They do everything together. When my male was a year and nine months old, and my female a year and 4 months, I brought home another pug pup, female and 8 weeks old. They just kinda tolerated her at first, but now that she's gotten older, they love her too. But the bond between the older two is still quite evident. They are as opposite as night and day in personality, but they adore each other. I guess they are named appropriatly as Buddy and Holly!! I recommend you go for it!! But, if you ever decide to bring another dog into your family that is not a pug, be warned that your pugs may gang up on the other dog and pick at it. I've seen and heard of it happening!

Go ahead and bring the puppy home. They are both young enough to have fun together and bond closely. The female will always be the alpha dog, that is just the way it is. The little one will accept its place and they will be fine. Expect alot of rough play and alot of noise like they are killing each other. that is normal. Unless they really injure each other, let them be. They will adjust to each other and be fine. Enjoy!

The earlier you introduce the two the better it will be or can be. Just monitor and do this gradually, just don't throw them together and leave them by themselves...which I am sure you wouldn't do anyway. Hope they both will be neutered/spayed. Good Luck.

It is fine to indroduce them to each other. It might take them time to get to know each other., then again they may hit it off just fine. Make sure you give them time to get to know each other before taken him back.
