In his mail today for me?

Question

We were just friends, now we became intimate friends.. he and I talk to one another daily, call frequently, share interesting subjects and funny ones. He used to be that intimate since 3 months where he suddenly broke with his gf and I blamed myself (dunno why!) and asked him that I go away but he insisted that I should be with him and tears came into his eyes (first time to see this). He tells me "i like you much", "I am so special to him", "you made me the happiest man on earth".
And today a mail from him saying "I got precious feelings to you." He knows that am so much hurt b4 from my bad experience. He bought me gifts, told me much about his family from grandparents till youngest members, about friends.

Question is: Why do though I like him much, I feel scared and too much shy?
Another question: Is he drifting towards much higher feelings to me or it is just sharing interest between 2 intimate friends?

Sara,never be scared of love.Love is real,real is love.You like him so much because you have feelings,because you care about this person and this fella cares about you.Simple and clear.For me,you two guys are in love.Talk about it.Enjoy it together,because the fact of the matter is that:Love.Don't be afraid of be loved.Respond with the same thing, in other words, with love.The best for ya and this guy.
