I found out that the name has to rhyme with your last name too. my last name is Egri. So it's hard because I want my bird to have a Swedish first name with my Czech last name.

It doesn't have to rhyme with your surname, people would walk around with very funny sounding names if that was the case. I can't think of a Swedish name rhyming with Egri, so maybe your bird has to look somewhere else for a rhyming name, but otherwise, Egil (E-geel - g as in great) at least is similar to Egri.

I have never ever heard the nickname "Tupsa" before. I have to go and ask my dad if he has... Nope, he hasn't. Interesting though.

How about "Tippi", like the legendary actress Tippi Hedren? (Became famous as the lead in the movie "The Birds" from Hitchcock.) It's a Swedish nickname, short for "Tupsa", meaning 'Little Girl' or "Sweetheart" in Swedish.
