I owuld start writing Senate to support Ethanol and alternative fuels so we don't have to depend so much on foreign oil.
It may seem political, but if you were to replace one pump from every gas station in Pennsylvania, then you would save $7 Million in foreign oil.

I already ride my bike or take the bus.

If gas were $5/gallon that cost would spill over into other things like food. So I'd have to work 23 hours a week instead of 20 to keep up with inflation.

I used to ride my bicycle to work back when gasoline was around $2.00/gallon.

*Only about three days per week.

*I turned 42, I commuted 50 miles/day to bypass the freeway overpasses.

**The gang situation got out of hand here in Sacto., CA

I then noticed a trend and thought that gas prices would go up to $3.00/gallon.

*I took a motorcycle safety course (MSF).

*I purchased a motorcycle (600cc.).

*My auto insurance went WAY down (it's, after all, property insurance, not life insurance).

*I average 50 mpg. in heavy commute traffic.

*What a total blast! I actually ENJOY my commute (40 mins. in the morning, 1.25 hrs. in the evening).

I would probably try to conserve my traveling time to a minimum, and I would have to offset the gas prices by making changes in what I spent for other things that I needed in my life.

I would go buy a fuel-efficient car like a Toyota Camry. Buying big cars isn't worth it anymore unless you have a big family.
