I mean what the creed says. In short, one God eternally existent in three different, co-equal, co-eternal persons. I don't claim to fully understand it, but that's what I believe.

There is Just and Only ONE GOD, the God of the Bible.
(Isaiah 44:6) Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.
There are Many So Called god's by May other religions. For example Islam claims Allah as the Only god.
And yet All ISLAMICS are descendants from ABRAHAM!
Yet their god is DIFFERENT than the GOD = Abraham believed in.
One sect of Christianity believes in Three Gods, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
AND YET, that is a Wrong Belief! The Correct belief is that in the Essence OF THE ONE GOD, HE can in time and space reveal Himself in Three DISTINCT Persons for His Purposes. The Father, The Son [JESUS] and the Holy Spirit!
Three yet ONE GOD! As at the baptism of Jesus...!
(Matthew 3:16) And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
(Mat 3:17) And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

God is not in the universe She is the universe.
She created the universe from the only thing that She had available, Herself.
You and the most distant star from you in the universe both exist within the idea of God.
This is a difficult concept for most people to comprehend because they have been taught nonsense about God. Like the idea that God lives far away on a cloud called heaven. God is not a raindrop. Raindrops live in clouds Not God. This is foolishness.
Jesus told us that the kingdom of God is within us. This is true because each and every one of us exist as a part of God. We live and move within our loving source. There is no moment or possibility that we can ever be apart from her.
Forget the silly stories that you have been told about a distant God that lives in the clouds. Look around you. Everything that you see is God.
Love and blessings.

one G-d means just that
there is only one supreme power that created all the world
one means that there is no power struggle with a fallen angel because by believing in one G-d I KNOW that there is nothing more powerful than G-d and I KNOW that a being that was created with no free-will and to only serve as an agent of G-d, as the angels were created, couldn't then "fall" and try to take over....to believe in that is to believe that G-d ISN'T all powerful
one means that there is no son that came to earth and then died....to believe this means you actually believe in two, not one....
one means that G-d is G-d over all of creation, and G-d is the G-d of everyone, which is why people of all religions can still earn a place in the world to come
it's only when you believe that G-d is NOT one that you think that you have to pick the CORRECT ONE to get to heaven

1. Whosoever will be saved, before all things it is necessary that he hold the catholic faith; (NOTE: see below for definition of catholic with a small 'c')
2. Which faith except every one do keep whole and undefiled, without doubt he shall perish everlastingly.
3. And the catholic faith is this: That we worship one God in Trinity, and Trinity in Unity;
4. Neither confounding the persons nor dividing the substance.
5. For there is one person of the Father, another of the Son, and another of the Holy Spirit.
6. But the Godhead of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit is all one, the glory equal, the majesty coeternal.
(first 7 statements (out of 44) of the Athanasian Creed, written 4th century AD)
catholic:
1. all-inclusive: including or concerned with all people
2. useful to all: useful or interesting to a wide range of people
3. all-embracing: interested in or sympathetic to a wide range of things

By that:
One God, three separate persons, yet all the same one God.
God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
Each one just as much God as God the Father.
So I believe in one God, who knows all things, who created all things, who is in all (all Christians),and has the power over all (persons, animals, and events).

I like this question because now i can bring something up to go with it!!
Right if i am understanding right god is part of a trio - the father, son and holy ghost!
Right christians beleive in 1 god but they beleive in all three of the above!
They beleive that the father, son and holy ghost are three individual things but they beleive that also it is 1 thing = god
so i think they are contradictin themselves personally
anyways lol.... xx

There are different religions that choose to praise different Gods or a different God from others. So when you say "one God" that means you dont practice praising to more than one!
