I'd give her away for free.

I'd back down on this one. I'd do it by having him make a donation to the charity, however.
I think that is a compromise that will work. He may be jealous or just uncomfortable with the idea of letting someone else monopolize your time for 3 hours. However, there isn't going to be any way to dissuade him from not liking it. Even if he capitulates, he'll resent it. So give him an out with honor and let it lie.

It might be a good way to test the strength of your relationship but I must say I'm against it. The word, 'auction' does the damage. It might be a good cause but I feel I am cheapening my relationship to support it. Just a personal opinion.

I would allow it on the following conditions.
1 - She was the one wanting to do it.
2 - The date didn't involve touching, kissing, anything innapropiate
3 - It was for a good cause
4 - I met the person who won the date
PS I think I would probably outbid the highest bidder anyway.

I wouldn't do it, even though you may say "if he trusts me then he wouldn't mind" I think you have to think that he might be asking himself "If she knew i was uncomfortable why would she think of doing it anyways". There are plenty of ways to help a good cause and I think that you could show your man you really cared about what he thinks by listening to him here.
That's just my two cents... =D

well...if someone bids 1 grand to date you...that could show they got money for you...maybe more than your bf or husband...which is bad cuz its tempting...the think here is that your husband doesn't trust the men that are buying women dates...its not that he doesn't trust you. would you trust a man that pays money for a date?! thats lame...
