What gets me is that the Churches call the police. Arrests are made and it's the governments (US & others) who lets ALL pedofiles go. From Catholic Priests throught Public School Gym Teachgers, to sick & twisted John Mark Karr.

What is the governments owned by the porno industry???

The Vatican can only prohbit a priest from exercising the functions of his office (called de-frocking or laicizing) they cannot un-make him a priest. According to Catholic belief entrance to Holy Orders permanently changes one's soul just as other sacrament do (You can't un-baptize someone either.)

Personally, rather than de-frocking priests I would like to see them enter a strictly ordered monastery and serve the church with prayer and penance for their sins.

I definitely think that ALL pedophiles should be kept from children permanently.

YES and world wide.

And while they may have put a ban in place - that is just words. The church has NOT excommunicated any known pedophiles. Those pedophiles just get moved to another parish where they are free to continue their disgusting crimes.

They already have. Should public schools ban child abuser teachers? What about police forces, fire departments, Protestant Churches, and every other walk of life?
