Spinks lasted longer against Tyson than Tyson would have lasted against Bruce, and Tyson would't have gotten up, ever.

Tyson in his prime was a very power puncher with a lot of speed. If it was strictly a boxing match Tyson would win hands down. But, if Lee could use any technique then, Bruce would win. He would of been so quick Tyson wouldn't be able to catch him. Lee would probably look at taking out his legs, and Tyson wouldn't be able to defend kicks as fast as Lee's. the only way Tyson could win is if he caught him with a lucky punch. but for anyone that watches boxing, MMA or whatever, is that there is a lot of fights that end with a blind punch right on the button.

Just to set the record straight, Bruce was 5'7 and 140 lbs. Mike Tyson 5'10 and about 215 in his prime. Biggest difference was the weight because Bruce had some long arms! But it's speed and power vs. mostly power. We will never know people and please, MMA/UFC fans, you dont know squat. It's a fad that will pass, mark my words. Chuck Liddell would get slaughtered were he to box against Roy Jones Jr. or Antonio Tarver. And yes, the Octagon does give them advantages but it's so they can have a mock streetfight with rules. What kinda sense does that make? the fight I'd like to see is Bob Sapp vs. Mike Tyson or Butterbean

p.s. For those of you who think Bruce couldnt fight and was simply an actor/choreographer, talk to men like Chuck Norris and Dan Inosanto and ask them if Bruce could really fight. Bunch of ignorant conspiracy theorists. He was an innovator and THE MAN. You all probably think Andre the Giant was 6'7 too! LOL

I'd bet on Mike Tyson. Tyson is bigger and stronger, and believe it or not, he's quite fast and quick for his size. He's got terrific hand and foot speed and, of course, devastating power on both fists. Yeah, Bruce Lee was very fast and he did display some incredible feats of strength (one-arm, two-finger push-ups, one-inch punch, etc.) during his lifetime, but I doubt if that would translate into an advantage in an actual fight. It would take several kicks and punches to Tyson's head before you take him down, and that would be a tall order considering that, as I've said, Tyson is fast and not easy to hit because of his head movements. Whereas, Tyson's power can be felt in his punches - just ask his knockout victims - and it would take just one shot from Iron Mike to annihilate Mr. Lee. Besides, Mike knew how to fight dirty, and in a cage match, that would come in handy.

The legend Bruce Lee would because he would be to fast for Mike Tyson and Tyson would not be able to hit him.
Also Bruce Lee knew all the lethal points to hit on the body and could probably take tyson in one hit.

MIke would easy put bruce to sleep. for some reason people have this idea that bruce lee was a great fighter and faaster then anything that has ever graced this planet first off mike is not only as strong as an ox hitting around 1100 pps which is pretty much enough to kill you he was also pretty fast haveing one of the fast combos in boxing and every one forgets that bruce made movies he never ever ever fought in a match so no one knows anything about his skill for all you know he gots a glass chin

They would have to invent a new crime just to describe the ***-whupping massacre Tyson will place on Lee.

Lee was a good philosopher and a good martial artist, no one's denying that. But to say he could fight Tyson is absolute madness. The only way I could see Lee winning is putting on another 15 lbs, and learning to low kick. Tyson wouldn't handle leg kicks really well.

But yeah - Tyson would basically take Lee's punches and laugh, then throw that left hook (should be called left cannon) and Bruce would be out like a light. Unless Lee learned to grapple... and even then, Tyson might be able to bench press Lee off of him anyway lol.

Bruce Lee was an acotr and a theorist. He was also 5'7 135 lbs. He never defeated a good fighter, and if you have actually seen footage of him(not including movies that were choreographed) he was not that impressive. Bruce Lee was a great theorist for what worked in a real fight, but was not a fighter himself, and would have gotten eaten alive by Tyson.

Tyson would lose not because he's was a bad fighter, because he's afraid deep down. He always was in his fights and so he tried to end them as fast as possible. There is no way he could beat a man like Bruce Lee.

You have to understand that Bruce Lee eat, sleeps, and breathes physical fitness and many Heavyweight boxers have commented and have looked up to Bruce Lee.

In boxing, the jab is the set up punch for a coming hook or uppercut.

Bruce Lee's jab was named the straight lead, according to Dan Inosanto, Bruce Lee's Jab could instantly knockout anyone. He stated that no one else not even Dan Himself. To know about Dan, Check him out in Wikipedia.

Now Force has 2 factors. Mass and velocity. Some are good at one but none have gotten close to having both but Lee himself. His strikes were so powerful that they had to design a moving dummy because there was just no one who could stand up to his punches.

Here's something else. Boxing limits the use of the body restricting it to the hands. Lee was an excellently rounded artist. He knew how to effectively use every part of his body in combat from his elbows to his fingers.

Dont be fooled by Lee's movies. his real fighting style always intiated with something dirty like an eye gouge or a low blow.

Recepients of his side kick compared it being hit by a car.

So my choice is solid on Bruce Lee.
