if something is real it's real, and it doesn't matter what others believe or disbelieve
even if you don't have proof for it it can be real
I told my nephew the other day that there are people that eat dogs and horses, and there are even people that eat insects in different parts of the world with different cultures than us
he didn't believe me but that doesn't make it any less of a real occurance....
but, by the same token....
just because people BELIEVE something to be real doesn't mean that it is
you can't believe something out of existence and you can't believe something into existence

It depends on what your definition of real is.
This is more easily understandable if one considers the actual scale of the components of an atom. If one takes into account the fact that the neutrons, protons and electrons of an atom actually have huge spaces between them it becomes clear that the atoms that make up seemingly solid objects are made up of 99+ percent empty space.
This alone does not seem too important till you add the idea that the atoms that make up seemingly solid objects are more of a loose conglomeration that share a similar attraction but never really touch each other.
At first glance this does not really seem relevant, but closer analysis reveals that this adds a tremendous amount of empty space to solid objects that are already made up of atoms that are 99 percent space. When so-called solid objects are seen in this light it becomes apparent that they can in no way be the seemingly solid objects they appear to be.
We ourselves are not exceptions to this phenomenon.
These seemingly solid objects are more like ghostly images that we interpret as solid objects based on our perceptual conclusions.
From this we must conclude that Perception is some sort of a trick that helps us to take these ghostly images and turn them into a world we can associate and interact with. This clever device seems to be a creation of our intellect that enables us to interact with each other in what appears to be a three dimensional reality.
I hope that helps to answered your question.
Love and blessings Don

Yes, if something is real it doesn't require you to believe in its existence.

yes- without a doubt- believing doesn't make it real and not believing doesn't make it false.
Those who believe otherwise, likely believe in alternate realities, where what you believe is true for you and what I believe is true for me.
Case in point- If God is real, He is real regardless of who believes it. And the reverse would be true- If God is not real, then believing it won't make it so

For centuries, man did not believe in the atom. Yet it existed. Yes.
Hebrews 11
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen...
By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.

Yes. God and Satan, for example, are real even though they are invisible. Of course, it takes faith (which must be conferred upon a person by God) to believe in their existence.
