Thanks for the chuckle.
Personally I like to enjoy life. So an opportunity to get together with my family is always a cause for celebration.
Christmas especially. Because despite all the commercialism, it always seems to me that everyone is filled with more goodwill and generosity. And that seems like a really good thing, even if it is only once a year.
And Easter is a time to celebrate the coming of Spring. And anything that puts smiles on the faces of children can't be all bad, can it?
So stop being grouchy and be pleased that others get something out of 'your' festivals. Please enjoy your Easter, however you spend it. It is after all a National holiday.

Do you know what pisses some Pagans off? That Christians steal all their holidays and claim they are theirs. Jesus wasn't born in December. The church started celebrating Christmas at that time of the year because it was the time the Pagans celebrated winter solstice. The church wanted to attract converts by celebrating at the same time. Read up on this and snap into reality, Christmas is not really a Christian holiday, no matter how much you wish it was.
But Christians are allowed to celebrate at this time if they wish, just like atheists and everybody else can celebrate whatever they want at this time. Personally I'm an atheist and I celebrate Christmas with my family at that time of the year, not because of any god but for the sake of spending quality time with the family. Oh yes, atheists have families too and it's not often that all of us have the chance to spend time together.
I don't care about Easter and I don't do anything special for Easter, but I do get days off because they are national holidays. I wish I could choose when to have those days off rather than have to have them at Easter time just because those days mean something to the Christians in my country. Easter are incredibly boring for me and I'd work over Easter if I could.
National holidays would still exist even if religious holidays were taken out. We'd just have different reasons for extra days off and everyone would have the liberty to choose when they take their days off to celebrate something rather than all have to do as the Christians and celebrate on days they decide are important.
It's not up to you to decide when others take days off and celebrate something. Nobody forbids you to do something special on days that are not specifically meant for Christians. Go ahead and celebrate what you want and keep your nose out of my business. Those days are not your possession so stop overreacting over others using them for something else than work or worshipping the Christian God.

Yeah, you're right. I'll tell my great grandma that she can take her lovely cooking home, I don't want to eat anything that she took time and effort to make to show she appreciates her family. I'll tell all my friends and family that I'm not giving them gifts, and I sure as hell don't want anything from them, because there's no point in ever doting upon them and showing that I appreciate them. I won't greet anyone with "happy holidays", but, rather, I will burn Christmas trees and destroy the Santa Clauses that adorn houses in December. I won't appreciate a beautiful time of year in which people can celebrate their love for one another, ever, just because I don't think Jesus was the son of God.
Grow up.
You don't think Christians have never participated in non-Christian holidays? Halloween, Valentine's, St. Patrick's Day (you know, some of the people that celebrate that holiday aren't even Irish! The nerve!), Thanksgiving...yeah, you Christians shouldn't bother celebrating those days, because they don't have anything to do with religion. You should ONLY celebrate the holidays that have EVERYTHING to do with the religion you follow, NO EXCEPTIONS!

easily, in case you basically purchase provides and candy, it sounds to me such as you're an somewhat beneficiant individual, no longer celebrating greed. enable me positioned it this way. If Christians can co-choose a pagan trip to rejoice the start of a deity, why won't be in a position to atheists do a similar to rejoice humanity and kindness?

The only thing good about religion is the holidays. Easter, Christmas, etc. is a time to take it easy and relax.

~~~ Ethan ,,,, We don't "celebrate christian holidays" just because we take the time off like everybody else, anymore than you don't Celebrate OUR atheism, of course. Why do you allow other people, especially atheists, CONTROL your temper? Seems you're not the Master of your own Ship.
I wonder,,,WWJD?
