Because, hopefully, they will learn that "thier" is not a word, but "their" is. Rock rules.

You are right in that a good parent will censor their children's musical choices. (Just as the television shows and movies they watch.) However, I find nothing wrong with having a child of any age listening to Christian music. It doesn't matter if it is r.a.p., rock, alternative or whatever the artist calls it. I am going to listen before I give my children the okay and I have heard so many Christian artists that sing in a variety of musical genres. There is not thing wrong with Christian rock.

Damn kids and their rock music and video games!!
Your kidding right?
Every generation has been saying this. I would have thought we would have developed beyond this. Seems like blaming kids behavior on music and video games is really just a cop out, passing the buck instead of taking responsiblity for what we as parents and a society teach kids by our actions or inactions.

Honestly, when my sons started listening to Rock ... I tried like he*l to monitor what they listened to. To my dismay, almost all rock music in today's world have the warning sticker that states "May not be suitable .... ". The only rockish/rap music I could find was by Will Smith.
My eldest son finally got me to see what he knew to be true ... if a person raises their children with proper morals, that child will live what they learn ...
My sons are now 17 & 18 y/o ... and honestly, regardless of what they listen to ... they are respectable, honest, kind and caring human beings ... I'm proud of who and what they are. :)
BTW: They are STILL not allowed to play any music that contains profanity, when I am in their presence ... and they respect that.

Dittos` & AMEN to that !!! The mistake the church is making today , is that they are trying to make the church conform to the world and its` ways . Whereas the True Church doctrine is to teach the world to conform to Christ . Today , too many churches` are trying to bring God down to mans` level with useless opinions and teachings just to satisfy and conform to the world so they won`t have to stand up for Jesus and be made fun of by unbelievers .The church may try to change , but God Almighty will never change , He is the same today as He was when created the world !! The church has minimized the Holiness of God ! *** 1 Timothy 1 : 4... Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies , which minister questions , rather than godly edifying which is in faith : so do ... * Also in Titus 1 : 16...They profess that they know God ; but in works they deny him , being abominable , and disobedient , and unto every good work reprobate. ......

Um, 'like rock and everything else'. Do you mean ALL music?
But if you mean 'metal' and stuff, perhaps because parents like myself also listen to it? Just a thought.

Funny, cuz it has been proven that what parents teach has a greater impact then what music says on children's minds. If you have issues with a child's attitude, maybe you should check out what the parents is teaching to the child rather then look at outside influence to lay the blame on.

because maybe the music you so call 'crap' might appeal to other people
and know i don't know what it does to their minds
though i do have to say a lot of the music now has swearing which does brush off on children.
