If you had the power to make your idea come true about stopping terrorists then what would it be? How would you handle this situation?

For me, I came across this website:
http://www.muslim-refusenik.com/index.html

There are two saying that got me thinking.

"Muslims are not powerless. We have the power to do what no one else ultimately can. We can stop the violence. But we need to convince other Muslims that this behavior is vile, rather than telling non-Muslims that this is not Islam."

and..

Rather than encourage young people to work hard and find employment, terrorist organizations exploit their suffering, drawing their recruits from the ranks of the poor and disaffected.

So, the problem stems from terrorist organizations recruiting young people. These young men are living a tough life and the terrorist organizations offers them a new way of life.
So, maybe we need to set up good organizations. stay tuned...

These "good" organizations will help these young men to be overcome their suffering in a postive way.
This will help stop new terrorists.
Now, to counteract the terrorists that are already out there. We need to tell them that what they are doing is wrong.
Perhaps we should make a group of men (good Muslims) to reason with them. If they don't see the light then off to jail for the rest of their lives unless they repent their ways.
I know that they are flaws in my thinking, but what are your ideas?

Wow this is certainly a great topic....let me begin w/ your last paragraph .... what the terrorist orgs are doing is no different than the violent street gangs in the USA ... they pay attention to a group of have nots and fill their heads w/ nonsense and make them heros in their own eyes....

Both groups ...the terror youth groups and the USA street gangs can be eliminated if better alternatives are offered ...and if laws can be passed with swift and very harsh punishment to the hangers on ....

The first statement about the Muslims not being powerless is so true but they choose to be ... much to their detriment ...

The single most looming impediment the Muslims have is a total lack of unity, centralization and organization

This results in all the inbred hatred among the Islamic sects ... and the total distortion of their theology to justify wholesale killing and violence among themselves as well as among non Islamists......

The Muslims need to come to grips w/ the modern day world .... their theology is flawed .... by allowing dishonetsy to non muslims and applying islamic rule to all even outside of the muslims themselves ....their governing rules are antiquated and barbaric ..... when the wealthy travel to the US they are decadent and ignore their islamic beleifs ....

they need single authority ... they need to study and be exposed to the rest of the world ... they need to stop the horrible abuse to their women ... give them equal status with the men and stop subjugating them like chattle...

they need to take a long hard look at themsleves and decide if they want to perpetuate violence and hatred or begin to practice the love and peace that Islam is supposed to be all about .....

The answer is all theirs ....the rest of the world knows what the answer is hopefully the Muslims can figure it out..... the task may lie with the US and European more moderate Muslims to condemn the violent sects and the violence that they perpetuate .... so far there is nothing but tacit silence...

Im very critical of my own people and those who belong to my faith group.

Why should I criticize the non muslims when the muslims themselves live in countries who are constantly eating away at the basic rights of human beings.

Let us observe:

Saudi Arabia: They have a system called, 'sponsorship' which is what any foreigner has to do in order to be able to work and live in Saudi Arabia. They have to be sponsored by a Saudi, who by the way, is the man whose signature is required if the foreigner wants to leave the land. Leave the city even.

In one word, this is unacceptable, this is another version of modern slavery, and its worse!! Because the laws allow the sponsor to own a certain percentage of your company. Even if he doesnt work, he can go to the bank and take all the money he wants out of your company bank account. Makes sense? No!

Thats just one small example. Muslims have to realize that the reason theyre failing so bad, isnt because theyre being victimized, its because they constantly break one of Islams highest rule: human rights!!

Have people gone blind or something? Dont you read history at all?? I mean, all those stories in the Quran about God destroying multitudes of people, what was all that for?? Dont they realize that Gods wrath was there because those people were wrong doers, eaters of other mens rights?

Dunno about you, but my plans are to educate loads of people and voice my opinions on every chance Ive got.

I am a Muslim and the problem is not just the terrorists it is Islamic countries. There are more problems in our land stretching from how we treat women and how we treat foreigners, it is so shameful. Why would Allah help us when we are not helpin ourselves. We must return to the sunnah if we are to get anywhere in life. That is my opinion. Salaam.

Well, we ended Japan's own version of Jihadism by dropping the nukes on Hiroshima and Nagasaki...in fact, that made them turn quite passive! I honestly think the extremist elements of the Middle east need to have a similar experience. They'd be all to happy to try it on us if they could...but they'd only get it back tenfold...(or, at least they should!).

Praise be to Allah.

I had an idea;

Why don't we make a site where we answer any misconception about Islam, Qur'aan, and Sunnah?
