Today, I was just getting ready for soccer when I realize I can't find my shorts. I had them the day before so I asked my Dad. He told me that she took them for my twin sister who is 4 hours away because she couldn't find hers. This is competitive soccer and is really serious. My mom called my coach and asked if he had any extra. He did but I would have to get them at the feild. My coach is allready mad at me because at practice the other day I didn't have cleats, socks, or shin guards. It was because my mom took the bag in my bag out. What should I do about my mom? She never listens to me either. I have to repeat things about 4 times each.

That's a bummer that, that happened to you. You need to let your mom know that your growing up and that when she takes something of yours she needs to ASK YOU since its your belongings and its your sport. Tell her your trying to be responsible and take care of your items for soccer but when she lets your sister borrow them without asking she puts you into a situation that you do not like. After you get all your stuff back , make sure you put it in your room or a place where you know its at, and let everyone know that you need to be consulted when someone makes a decision about your belongings. Its not that she doesn't care about your feelings but that she was trying to appease your sister as well, regrettably stepping on your toes. Just promise your couch that your getting everything together and your trying to be more reasonable and that your sorry and there's no way he can be mad at you. GOOD LUCK

Unfortunately, I'm in your same situation. Not with mom taking my things and all, but not caring about my feelings. And truly...I have no answer I can give you, because mine doesn't listen either. The only way I know is to yell at her, but that may cause more bad than good.

It's your sport, it's your job to make sure you have what you need. Obviously you are old enough to wash your own clothes and get your own gear together. Quit blaming others for your laziness.

your mom sounds the same as my husband. he never listens to our kids either. never. try to have a word with your dad to see if anything is worrying your mom. it sounds like something is on her mind. try to keep your shorts in a private place where your mom wont look. unfortunately this may meen you having to wash them, but at least you will know where they are.
